I did my first tandem skydive here at Skydive Virginia with a group of
people from work on Aug 22,1998. Jump out of a perfectly good airplane?
Are you nuts? Those were the questions going through my mind during the
weeks before that first jump!
Well, I made that first jump, had it video'd (glad I did that) and was on an
adrenalin rush for the entire next week. I knew I had to do it again. I
did two more tandems and had a friend convinced me to go through the AFF
program with her. I graduated from AFF in December 1998 and have made 17
jumps to date.
I began working manifest in April 2000 and really enjoy watching the
students experience that first skydive. They are full of questions and
concerns and everyone here is great in helping them get over that hurdle of
the first jump.
During the week I am an accountant for a firm in Richmond, managing the
payroll and benefit activities. A never ending challenge for me.

It is certainly a must for first-timers and contrary to belief, not
everyone remembers all moments of that jump. I know I did not and still
play back the video of my first jump. I have added other jumps onto
that video and never tire of watching it!
