"Skydiving" was on Pete's list of things to try at some point before final
dispersion. In the autumn of 1994, he finally worked up the nerve to ring
Skydive Virginia and make his first AFF jump. Torn between gut-fear and
the wonder of that first jump, he eventually completed AFF training the
following spring. He now spends almost every weekend at Louisa County
Airport, and occasionally other dropzones, cavorting with friends in
the big blue playground.
